Mission Statement
Bump in the Night Theatre Company is dedicated to creating unique, theatrical productions that examine the human experience through the lens of the mysterious, the magical, and the macabre.
Bump in the Night is committed to the exploration, subversion, and elimination of harmful tropes and conventions present in the horror genre, such as homophobic and transphobic tropes, racist and anti-Semitic stereotypes, and unequal and gratuitous violence against women and other marginalized bodies. Bump in the Night serves as an experiment; an exploration into the horror genre's place in the theatrical space and what it can unlock about the power of story. |
